ALTER EGO , as the data controller, will inform you about the way of collection and processing of your personal data. The protection of the personal data of our website’s visitors/users is essential, since our company wants to promote trust to our services. The personal data collection and processing are governed by the provisions of the Greek and European Law, according to the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the EU Directive 2016/680 and the Greek Legislation.

In the present document, Alter Ego aims to inform the visitor/user for the method of collection of personal data, the type of the data, the reason of the selection, the number of people with access to the data and the way that we ensure their safety.

Before using our website, please read carefully the present document.

As it is analyzed in our website’s Terms of Use and the Cookie Policy, our provided services refer to the public, do not target children and do not intentionally collect personal information from children younger than 16 years old.

The present Personal Data Protection Policy applies to all of our website’s users for the collection and use of personal information by ALTER EGO S.A. (e.g. these are information that define a person, such as its full name or e-mail address).

The term “personal data” refers to any information relevant to the natural persons, the identity of which is known or may be verified.

The present Data Protection Policy refers to the type of information that may be collected during the user’s visit in the website and the way that we will use the personal information. When you voluntarily give us your personal information, such as name, postal or e-mail address, we treat your personal information with absolute confidentiality. Without prejudice to the special provisions of the Present Personal Data Protection Policy, personal information is no subject to public posting or notification to other companies, organizations or websites.

2. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

When you visit our website, it is likely that we may collect your data and some of these data may be personal. If you want to contact us regarding our provided services, we will collect your full name, telephone number, e-mail address and IP address.

If you submit your Curriculum Vitae for evaluation, we will collect your name, telephone number, e-mail address, IP address and the information that you may have included in your CV.

  1. HOW DO WE COLLECT YOUR PERSONAL DATA

We collect your personal data directly from you, for example, when you start a communication with us (e.g. name, e-mail address) or when you send us your Curriculum vitae (e.g. first and last name, telephone, etc.), and when you navigate and use our services, we collect your IP address and use cookies to identify the visitors’ ID.

  1. USE AND NOTIFICATION OF PERSONAL DATA

The Company processes the personal data, aiming to support and promote its contractual relationship with the customers, the transaction's protection and the briefing of customers for the provided services.

The Company may transmit the personal data of the visitors/users to all of the Company’s departments, the departments of the Subsidiaries of European Reliance Group and to other related undertakings, to natural persons of the Company or any other recipient that the Law requires, along with the general rules of risk acceptance for the partnership or for statistical reasons. Moreover, the Company may transmit the personal data for the promotion of products or services of the Company or of related undertakings. Under no circumstances shall the personal data of special category be transmitted to third parties.

  1. STORAGE- PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

The Company retains and processes a personal data IT system that stores the data that the users voluntarily declare. The Company has received all necessary measures to ensure the safety of the provided services and adherence to confidentiality of the information related to the users. Your personal data are stored in our data centers in Greece. We also have a backup [data center backup].

  1. DURATION OF PERSONAL DATA STORAGE

If you express your interest for one of our provided services, ALTER EGO will retain your personal data for a time period of three years.

If you decide to sign a contract with us, your personal data will be retained for as long as it is required by the current tax legislation and for the time period required from any supervised, public, administrative authority.

In case you have sent us your curriculum vitae for a job position that was announced in the website of ALTER EGO but you were not selected for the position, we will retain your curriculum vitae in our Cvs database for future reference for three years.

After the expiration of the time period defined above, your personal data will be deleted without further notice.

  1. YOUR RIGHTS ON THE PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING

You retain the right to acquire information on the personal data that we have stored at any given moment, according to the applicable legislation and without further charge. Before we give you access to these data, we may ask for certification of identity. In a few cases, we may not be able to allow access to certain personal data, for example, if your personal data are related with the personal data of other people or for legal purposes. In these cases, we will justify the reason, why you should not acquire access to these data.

You retain the right to request for correction - update of your data and ALTER EGO S.A. will proceed to their immediate correction.

You retain the right to request for the destruction of your personal data file. However, in a few cases, where the applicable legal and tax obligations require the obligatory retention of data, the destruction of data may be prohibited.

You retain the right to request for pause of personal data processing by ALTER EGO S.A. However, in a few cases, where the applicable legal and tax obligations require the obligatory data processing, your request may not be accepted.

You retain the right to request for restriction of processing of your personal data by ALTER EGO S.A. However, in a few cases, where the applicable legal and tax obligations require for a specific type of data processing, your request may not be accepted.

You retain the right to request for transmission of your personal data to another body/ organization. However, in a few cases, due to legal and tax obligations of ALTER EGO S.A., your request may not be accepted.

If ALTER EGO S.A. accepts the existence of leakage of your personal data that could result to your material or non-material damage, you retain the right to lodge a complaint to the competent supervisory authority (Hellenic Data Protection Authority).

  1. CHANGES IN THE PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION POLICY

ALTER EGO S.A. may modify the present Personal Data Protection Policy. Please check the Implementation Date at the top of the present Policy about the date of the last review. After we announce the revised Policy, we will proceed to its implementation. If we make changes in the present Policy that could extend our rights, in order to use the personal data collected from you, we will inform you and provide you with an option for the future use of these data.
